NAF 2026 Grantees Skills Workshop

Brikom Children’s Foundation-Uganda Strengthens Impact at the NAF 2026 Grantee Skills Workshop in Kigali-Rwanda.
Brikom Children’s Foundation-Uganda recently participated in the NAF Grantee Skills Workshop, facilitated by The New Africa Fund in Kigali, Rwanda. The week long capacity building workshop, brought together leading community impact organizations from across Africa to retool their operations, systems, leadership, partnership and sustainability.
Representing BCF-Uganda at the workshop were our Founder and CEO Rev. Fr. Kasakyamaria Bazil and Programs Director Emmanuel Tulibamu. Their participation marks an important step in BCF-Uganda’s journey to expand its impact in empowering vulnerable children, youth, and communities through inclusive education, sustainable livelihood initiatives, nutrition, and improved health and sanitation services.

BCF-Uganda’s participation in the workshop was made possible through the support of our community, donors, and partners. During the Africa Impact Fundraising Grant Program Challenge Months last year, BCF-Uganda secured a place among the Top 10 community impact organizations. We register our appreciation to generous contributions from companies, individuals and supporters who believe in our vision and mission.
This participation opened the doors for BCF-Uganda to join other change makers at the NAF 2026 Grantee Skills Workshop, creating an opportunity to strengthen our organization and scale our work in empowering vulnerable women, children, youth, and communities.
Advancing Basic Needs through Community Engagement
Brikom Children’s Foundation-Uganda’s Vision is to produce a just and empowered society where all women, children, youth, and vulnerable communities have equal and meaningful access to basic needs, opportunities, and sustainable livelihoods. Across many communities in Uganda, access to basic needs remains a challenge. By leveraging community engagements, BCF-Uganda works to empower communities through bridging gaps in education, livelihoods, health, and sanitation services.
Workshops like the one organized by The New African Fund remind us how important it is to collaborate with partners who share a vision for a just and empowered society. Under the leadership of NAF President Mr. Steven Beck, the organization continues to support social impact initiatives that are transforming communities across the African continent.

Building Capacity for Sustainable Nonprofit Impact
The NAF workshop focused on equipping organizations with the tools and strategies needed to operate sustainably and scale their social impact. Key critical aspects of the workshop included financial management, marketing, communications, grant writing, donor research, cultivation and retention, individual donor campaigns, and local fundraising strategies.
For BCF-Uganda, these sessions provided valuable knowledge that will help refine our internal operations and strengthen our capacity to better serve our communities. This capacity building experience positions us to deliver effective community tailored programs in the communities that we serve.

The Road Ahead for Brikom Children’s Foundation-Uganda
As Brikom Children’s Foundation-Uganda returns from Kigali-Rwanda, we carry with us new knowledge, strengthened partnerships, and renewed motivation to expand our impact. The insights gained from the NAF 2026 Grantees Skills Workshop will play a key role in shaping our strategy as we continue to empower communities and transform lives.
We deeply remain appreciative to NAF, our donors, partners, and community members who continue to support our vision and mission of creating a just and empowered society where all women, children, and youth have equal and meaningful access to basic needs, opportunities, and sustainable livelihoods.
